Loch Siob and the Paps of JuraPosted by mark unsworth (isle of islay, United Kingdom) on 14 February 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. A few days ago the weather being quite good for a shot of the Paps of Jura reflecting in Loch Siob on Jura. The loch had partially iced which didn't help the reflections but it was still a nice vista. More than just recording the scene Prints of this image are available through my website at www.islaystudios.co.uk

Armin from United KingdomI guess you can't have everything, so we'll have to live with the ice on the loch. It's still one of the best views of the Paps I've ever seen. The snow provides it with the additional colour and interest to the brown and grey of the usual landscape. Really like it! 14 Feb 2009 7:38am Aidan Hammond from Seoul, South Koreabeautiful shot; it really makes me want to go there. 14 Feb 2009 10:11am Meruby from Vienna, AustriaBeautiful - I love the way the clouds seem to wind through the Paps. Makes me pine to go back to Islay - but I still have to wait till May. 14 Feb 2009 10:21am Gavin from IrelandThis is Fantastic, you never reall think that when you see the Paps from a distance, such beauty exists up on a plateau/valley within them 14 Feb 2009 2:12pm DarkElf from Perth, Australiaexcellent panoramic composition! this is really beautiful and you have done this place justice with this photo! lovely natural colours! well taken! 15 Feb 2009 1:54pm |
