Ben Chaolais Reflections 2

Posted by mark unsworth (isle of islay, United Kingdom) on 4 March 2009 in Landscape & Rural.

This time with the reflection but lost the foreground I liked.
So was the image from 14/2 the best ?
Why not let me know....

They are all outstanding photos in this series, but I would have to say that I prefer the one of 1 March best followed by the one above. No doubt everybody else will pick different photos, but I find that today's photo does include the summit of the mountain in the reflection whereas there are just enough rocks in the foreground to lead you into the photo but not to dominate which gives me a sense of scale.
I would have loved to see the EXIF data of these photos.

As you can imagine the exposures through out these images were fairly even so will give you details of this one as an idea. Focal length 40mm, ISO 100, 1/320 @F9 no filters or image enhancing (this applies to them all).

What a nice shot, the mountains seem to pop off the screen!

great series continues! i agree with above comments that this is good clean composition where the small rocks are nice but not distracting from the main view and the reflection - well done!
